About the Project

The Midwest Tech Project was inspired by the Forbes article highlighting Grand Rapids, Michigan as the 2nd worst place for African Americans, economically.

As the future of the workforce continues to evolve, Black and Latino students must be equipped with the skills to engage in the technology industry.

Across industries, technology is the most powerful force driving business solutions—however those solutions are replacing the need for human service.

Our goal is to expose students to the various content areas such as coding, cyber security, web design, etcetera to ensure skill development and access into the tech industry to create a livable, lifelong career.
